解説

　目的を表します。
　前項には目的を、後項にはその目的を達成するために必要な条件を述べます。
　後項にはよく「かかる」「必要」「役に立つ」「使う」などの動詞がきます。

例文

（１）　完成させるのに２時間かかった。　▶
　　　　　完成需要2个小时。
　　　　　It took me two hours to complete.
（２）　ビザを更新するのに３週間もかかる。　▶
　　　　　更新签证需要3周的时间。
　　　　　It takes three weeks to renew the visa.
（３）　申請するのに身分の証明が必要となる。　▶
　　　　　申请需要身份证。
　　　　　Identity proof is required to make the application.
（４）　部屋を隅々まで掃除するのに一体何時間かかるのだろうか。　▶
　　　　　房间打扫到各个角落，究竟要花多少时间呢？
　　　　　I wonder how many hours it will take to clean the room thoroughly.
（５）　海外で生活するのに役に立つ知識を教えてもらった。　▶
　　　　　请教了在海外生活有用的知识。
　　　　　I was taught knowledge that is useful for living abroad.
（６）　お金を貯めるのに頑張って働いています。　▶
　　　　　我为了存钱而努力工作。
　　　　　I’m working hard to save money.
（７）　健康を保つのに毎日運動しています。　▶
　　　　　为了保持健康，我每天锻炼。
　　　　　I exercise every day to maintain my health.
（８）　成績を上げるのに勉強に集中しています。　▶
