意味

　与其说…，还不如说…
　与其…说…
　倒不如说是…

解説

　二つの判断や見方を比較し、後件の方が比較的妥当であることを表します。
　「むしろ」は省略可能ですが、「むしろ」がつくとより強調された表現となります。

　「というより」「というよりは」「というよりか」「というよりも」「というよりかは」などと様々な言い方がありますが全て同じ意味です。

例文

（１）　声が聞こえないのはマイクが壊れているというより、パソコンの設定の方の問題だと思う。
　　　　　与其说不能听见声音是因为麦克风坏了，不如说是电脑的设定方面的问题。
　　　　　I think not being able to hear the sound is more of an issue with the computer settings rather than the microphone being broken.
（２）　今回の件は悲しいというより残念だ。
　　　　　这次的事情与其说是悲伤不如说是遗憾。
　　　　　This matter is more disappointing rather than sad.
（３）　これからはプログラミングを趣味としてというより、仕事として頑張って行くつもりだ。
　　　　　今后与其说把编程作为兴趣还不如说是作为工作去努力。
　　　　　From now on, I intend to work hard on programming not as a hobby, but as a profession.
（４）　日本の満員電車は乗っているというよりは、むしろ詰め込まれているという感じだ。
　　　　　日本的满员电车与其说是乘坐，不如说是挤得满满的。
　　　　　Japanese crowded trains feel more like being crammed in rather than just being on board.
（５）　金銭面の問題というよりかは、むしろ親の賛成が得られないことが留学できない大きな理由だ。
　　　　　与其说是金钱方面的问题，还不如说是无法得到父母的同意是无法留学的最大理由。
　　　　　The main reason for not being able to study abroad is not so much a financial issue but rather the lack of parental approval.
（６）　猫派か犬派かというよりも、まず動物を触ることができない。
　　　　　与其说是猫派或狗派，不如说是首先不能接触动物。
　　　　　Rather than being a cat person or a dog person, the main issue is not being able to touch animals in the first place.
（７）　人間の運命は、ルール通りに行われるチェスというよりむしろ宝くじを思い起こさせる。

（11）　彼女の新しい髪型は似合ってるというよりむしろ好き。
　　　　　与其说她的新发型很适合，不如说她喜欢。
　　　　　Her new hairstyle is not so much about whether it suits her but rather that I like it.
（12）　練習の成果を出すことができず、悔しいというよりむしろ無力感。
　　　　　没能拿出练习的成果，与其说是懊恼倒不如说是感到无力。
　　　　　The feeling of powerlessness is more prevalent than the frustration of not achieving the results of the practice.
（13）　息子の大学入試合格は、嬉しいというよりむしろ安心したという気持ちのほうが強い。
