　比喩表現の一種で、ある人や物事の様子や性質から見て、それを他の有名なものに喩える文型です。

例文

（１）　街中で偶然初恋の人に逢うなんて、運命とでも言うべき出来事だった。
　　　　　在街上偶然遇到初恋的人，可以说是命运的事情。
　　　　　Meeting my first love by chance in the middle of the town was an event that could be called fate.
（２）　あの日起きたことは自然災害ではなく、人災とでも言うべきだった。
　　　　　那天发生的事情应该不是自然灾害，而是人祸。
