　いかなる状況でも関係がないことを表します。
　「見かけによらず（与外表不同）」は慣用的に用いられます。

例文

（１）　彼は見かけによらず神経質だ。　▶
　　　　　他跟看到的外表不同，很神经质。
　　　　　He is neurotic despite his appearance.
（２）　猫は可愛いが見かけによらず狂暴だ。　▶
　　　　　猫咪跟看到的可爱外表不同，很粗暴。
