他の人に理解してもらうためにお手本を示すことを表します。
この用法はＮ３レベルです。
例文
（１） やり方が分からないので、一度やってみせてくれませんか？
因为不知道方法，请你给我示范一次好吗？
Because I don’t know the method, could you show me once?
（２） この実験は危険ですので、まずは私が皆さんにやってみせましょう。
这个实验很危险，所以我先给大家演示一下。
This experiment is dangerous, so let me demonstrate it to you first.
（３） 何でもいいので好きな絵を描いてください。私はあなたが何を描いたか当ててみせましょう。
随便画一幅喜欢的画给我看。我来猜你画了什么。
Please draw any picture you like. I will try to guess what you drew.
（４） 平凡な教師は言って聞かせる。よい教師は説明する。優秀な教師はやってみせる。しかし最高の教師 は子どもの心に火をつける。
普通的教师说给学生听。好的教师解释给学生听。优秀的教师示范给学生看。但是最好的教师点燃孩子的心灵。
An ordinary teacher tells students. A good teacher explains to students. An excellent teacher demonstrates to students. But the best teacher ignites the hearts of children.
（５） 人を描くときは筋肉の構造を知らなければいけません。私がまず全身を描いてみせますね。

解説
話し手の何かを実現させるための決意や強い意志を表します。
「必ずや」と呼応することがあります。
芝居がかった言い方に「～てみせるとも」があります。
例文
（９） お手本になるために、まずはやってみせた。
为了给大家做榜样，我先演示了一下。
To set an example, I demonstrated it first.
（10） 来月の試験、必ず合格してみせる。
下个月的考试，我一定会通过并展示给你们看。
I will definitely pass the exam next month and prove it.
（11） 自分の力で必ずや頂上に登りつめてみせる。
