解説
仮定条件文の後ろにつき、物事が限界に達すること、終わることを表します。
「もしそうなったら終わりだ」という意味ですが、終わりが来ることに対して残念な気持ちはなく、それを悪く捉えることもありません。
話者の楽観視、納得の諦め、ふっきれた様子を表すことができる文型です。
例文
（１） 「ご縁」が恋愛を決める。勇気を出して告白をし想いを伝えましょう。断られたらそれまでのこと。 ▶
恋爱靠的是“缘分”。鼓起勇气告白，去表达自己的心意吧。如果到时候被拒绝的话就算了。
“Fate” determines romantic relationships. Let’s gather courage, confess our feelings, and convey them. If we get rejected, it’s just the end of that.
（２） 意見の相違があった場合はお互い話し合う。話し合ったのにどちらかが納得できなかったならそれまでだ。 ▶
有意见分歧的时候互相商量吧。如果谈过了以后其中一方不能接受的话就算了。
If there are differences of opinion, let’s discuss them with each other. If, after the discussion, either party can’t be convinced, then it’s just the end of it.
（３） 何事も自分で無理だとやる前から結論を出してしまえばそれまでだ。それ以上の成長はない。 ▶
在做事情之前就先得出“自己不行”的结论的话就完了。而且也不会有任何的成长。
If we conclude that something is impossible without even trying, then it’s just the end. There won’t be any further growth.
（４） 家族や友達が死ぬのは悲しいけど、自分が死ぬのは別にいい。死んだらそれまでだと思っている。 ▶
虽然家人和朋友死了的话会我感到很悲伤，但是自己死了话却没无所谓，反正我认为死了以后一了百了。
It’s sad when family or friends pass away, but it’s fine if it’s me who dies. I think once I’m gone, that’s just the end.
（５） 考え方は人それぞれと言われたらそれまでのことだけど、彼のやり方はどうしても気に入らない。 ▶
虽然我对“每个人的想法都不一样”这句话感到无话可说，但是我无论如何也不喜欢他的做法。
People say everyone has different perspectives, but I really don’t like his way of doing things.
（６） 彼に不満を伝えた。別れようって言われたらそれまでだけど、ずっと我慢している自分も嫌だ。 ▶
我向他表达了不满。这是因为虽然被说了分手以后就到此结束了，但是我也很讨厌一直忍着不说的自己。
I expressed my dissatisfaction to him. If he suggests breaking up, then it’s just the end, but I also don’t want to keep enduring it.
（７） これは芸術だと言われればそれまでだが、他人に理解されない芸術に意味があるのだろうか。 ▶
如果说这是艺术那就算了，但是不被别人理解的艺术有意义吗。
If it’s considered art, then that’s just the end of it, but does misunderstood art have any meaning?
（８） 「本人が決めたこと」で片づければそれまでのことだけど、推しが卒業するのはやっぱりしんどい。 ▶
如果这是“本人决定的事情”的话我也没有办法，可是听到自己支持的偶像宣布不再活动，果然感觉很难受。
If we dismiss it as “their decision,” then that’s just the end of it, but it’s still tough when my favorite idol graduates.

他人に使えば厳しい口調になり、突き放すようなニュアンスです。
上記用法①とは違い、楽観的なニュアンスはありません。
例文
（９） 自分がうまくいかないのを教師のせい、親のせいにしてるやつはそれまでだ。 ▶
把自己不顺利的原因怪到老师和父母的身上的人是不会有长进的。
Those who blame teachers or parents for their own failures are just at the end of their excuses.
（10） おしゃべりはそれまでだ。 ▶
闲聊到此为止。
That’s enough talking.
（11） 感謝の気持ちが持てない人はそれまでだ。 ▶
不知道感恩的人也就那样了。
If someone can’t feel gratitude, then that’s just the end.
（12） 才能があるから続ければいいのにとか言われてきたけど、継続して努力できない時点で私の実力はそれまでだと思う。 ▶
虽然有人说我有才能明明继续下去就好了，但是在不能继续努力的时候，我的实力也就到此为止了。
People have always told me to continue because I have talent, but I think my ability is just at the end when I can’t keep up the effort.
（13） この条件を飲んでくれないなら、契約交渉はそれまでだろう。 ▶
如果你不接受这个条件的话，合同的谈判就到此为止吧。
If they don’t accept these conditions, then the contract negotiations will simply come to an end.
（14） 理解できないならあなたはそれまでです。これ以上話しても無駄です。 ▶
不能理解的话你也就是这种水平了。再说下去也没用了。
If you can’t understand, then it’s over for you. There’s no point in continuing the conversation.
（15） 常連さんを大切にしない店はそれまでです。 ▶
不能保证老顾客的店是经营不下去的。
A business that doesn’t value its regular customers is just at the end.
（16） 恋愛は相手あってのものだから相手に配慮できなければ話はそれまでだ。 ▶
没有对象的话就谈不成恋爱。如果不能为对象考虑的话恋爱也就没有意义了。
Relationships require consideration for the other person, so if you can’t do that, then it’s just the end of the discussion.
