解説

　「いわゆる」の後ろに”世間で一般的に呼ばれている言い方”である名詞を後接させて、「一般に～と呼ばれているもの」という意味を表します。多くの場合、「いわゆる」に後接する名詞の呼び方、あるいはその名詞が表すものに対して軽蔑のニュアンスが現れます。例えば「いわゆる闇バイト」というと、「闇バイト」に対して否定的な感情が現れます。

例文

（１）　いわゆる“闇バイト”ってやつ、条件悪すぎて笑えない。　▶
　　　　　所谓的“黑工”，条件太差，根本笑不出来。
　　　　　This so-called “black-market job” has such terrible conditions, it’s not even funny.
（２）　僕はいわゆるおっさんと呼ばれる年齢層に入る。　▶
　　　　　我属于所谓的大叔年龄段了。
　　　　　I fall into the so-called “middle-aged man” age group.
（３）　郊外、いわゆる田舎の小さな飲食店には車での来客が多いので、大きめの駐車場が必要です。　▶
　　　　　郊外，也就是所谓乡下的小餐馆，来的人大多开车，所以需要较大的停车场。
　　　　　In the suburbs, at these so-called countryside eateries, most customers come by car, so a large parking lot is necessary.
（４）　今日の晩ご飯は手作りの鶏肉を炒めたやつと白米！いわゆる筋肉飯です。　▶
　　　　　今天晚饭是自制炒鸡肉配白米饭！就是所谓的健身餐。

（５）　いわゆる先進諸国と言われる国々は出生率が低い傾向がある。　▶
　　　　　所谓的发达国家普遍存在出生率低的趋势。
　　　　　The so-called developed countries tend to have low birth rates.
（６）　田舎の変質者は接触系じゃなくて、いわゆる「裸コート」のようなやり方が多い気がする。　▶
　　　　　乡下的变态好像不太会有肢体接触，多是像所谓“裸风衣”那样的方式。

（９）　いわゆる「郷に入っては郷に従え」は通用しない時代になってきているかもしれない。　▶

（10）　今私が作ってるカレーには、いわゆる隠し味と呼ばれるものが入っている。　▶
